Privacy Policy

SDRL CLUB POLICIES

South Darwin Rugby League Football Club has implemented and endorsed a range of model policies and guidelines to ensure the game is played in a safe and fun environment. We adopt and endorse the use of a number of policies published by reputable sports-focused organisations including the Australian Sports Commission, the Northern Territory Government, NRL, NRL NT, Play by the Rules and StarClubNT.

SDRL MEMBERS PROTECTION POLICY

Version 1

The main objective of the SDRLFC Member Protection Policy is to maintain responsible behaviour and the making of informed decisions by members and other participants in this club. It outlines our commitment to a person’s right to be treated with respect and dignity, and to be safe and protected from discrimination, harassment and abuse.

SDRL SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

This policy has been developed to inform our community about using social media so people feel enabled to participate, while being mindful of their responsibilities and obligations.

The South Darwin Rugby League Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and their families. We support the rights of the child and will act without hesitation to ensure a child-safe environment is maintained at all times. We also support the rights and wellbeing of our volunteers and encourage their active participation in building and maintaining a secure environment for all participants.  The club has a zero tolerance to bullying. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at SDRLFC.

SDRLFC has adopted the NRL National Registration Policy, as amended from time to time.

NRL NATIONAL CODE OF CONDUCT

SDRL has adopted the NRL National Code of Conduct, as amended from time to time.  
The Rugby League Code of Conduct provides all participants – players, parents, coaches, referees, spectators and officials – with some simple rules that assist in delivering a safe and positive environment to everyone involved in the game.

NRL MEMBERS PROTECTION POLICY

This Member Protection Policy aims to ensure that our core values, good reputation and positive behaviours and attitudes are maintained. It assists us in ensuring that every person involved in our sport is treated with respect and dignity, and is safe and protected from abuse. This policy also ensures that everyone involved in our sport is aware of his or her legal and ethical rights and responsibilities.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY POLICY

This policy describes how SDRL manages Confidential or Personal Information.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND TOLERANCE POLICY

The purpose of this policy to eliminate discrimination or harassment in the Club based on personal characteristics including race, gender, marital/parental status, physical or intellectual impairment, same sex preference, age, or political associations or beliefs.

We believe that junior sport should be safe, enjoyable, inclusive and maximise individual participation. Our club acknowledges that positive experiences in junior competition will contribute to children developing a lifelong love of sport.

We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people involved in our sport. The role of chaperone is part of that commitment.
We are committed to providing the best possible support for chaperones and the young people they work with and have under their care and guidance. The chaperone also plays an important role in creating a positive team and club culture, in fostering cooperation and team spirit.

SDRL REFUNDS, FEE WAIVERS & HARDSHIP POLICY

South Darwin Rugby League Club recognises that it is sometimes difficult for players to fulfil Club subscription and uniform fees, therefore has established a common policy document from which to provide direction as the need arises.
